Re-branding a Calgary-based social agency.

Background

Aspen Family Services worked with Weber Shandwick, a global leader in public relations, to better explain to stake-holders their philosophy and approach.

After crafting their messaging around Aspen’s resiliency-based support and developing the Helping People Create Better Lives tagline, Weber Shandwick selected Strut to design a new visual identity to convey this newly developed positioning.

Strut's Solution

Strut developed a new logo from interlocking rings with transparency. This visually represented the wide variety of support mechanisms Aspen can provide, and their focus on building their client’s resiliency to future problems. The warm color palette was selected for its vibrancy and life. Strut developed communication materials on this new platform, including brochures, program guides and a totally new web site with a custom content management system allowing Aspen to update their news section.

Results

Aspen’s identity instantly connected with people in a way that their old one never did. Donors, clients and referring agencies are visually reminded about Aspen’s values, and philosophy whenever they encounter the new Aspen brand.

A new logo emphasizes Aspen's unique approach of building an individual's resiliency around their own core strengths.
A brochure was developed to communicate to referring agencies, potential clients and donors about Aspen's unique approach and wide array of programs.
A new web site was developed with content management functions, allowing staff to update key areas of the site with no web coding skills.
