Strut Creative was commissioned to create a national television commercial for MuchMusic. The spot was developed to promote Nokia’s involvement in the MMVA's and drive viewers to a promotional web site where they could win trips to the awards.
Strut designed and art directed a television spot aimed at appealing to the youth market, which included a rendered 3D dance sequence to show off the multimedia capabilities of Nokia's 3155i phone. The camera "flies" into the phone's screen where we find video from the MMVA's playing. Dancers in shillouette "come alive" from the point of purchase display panels displayed by Nokia at its retailers. A Green Day music track from Warner Records was used to add an element of energy to the spot.
Feedback from the client has been very positive. The spot has been successful in appealing to the target audience and Strut continues to work with MuchMusic on other advertising initiatives.
